About the Course Thecourse covers basic concepts of biomedical engineering and theirconnection with the spectrum of human activity. It serves as anintroduction to the fundamental science and engineering on whichbiomedical engineering is based. Case studies of drugs and medicalproducts illustrate the product development-product testing cycle, patent protection, and FDA approval. It is designed for science andnon-science majors. Course Structure:This Yale College course, taught on campus twice per week for 50 minutes, was recorded for OpenYale Courses in Spring 2008. About Professor W.
